Report on Pre-Draft Consultation on the Clonburris SDZ

Following on from South Dublin County Council’s pre-draft public consultation in March / April 2016, the Chief Executive Officer prepared a report summarising the issues raised during the Consultation.

A total of 140 submissions were received. Including a comprehensive submission by the PPN.

PPN Submission Noted Throughout

The PPN’s submission is referred to throughout the report, as are the two workshops organised by the PPN for our members. It is a big vote in confidence from the council recognising the value of the PPN as an independent voice for the community.

You will see a copy of the Council’s report below.

Further Consultation and Workshops

The PPN will organise further workshops with PPN members in Autumn to continue advocating on behalf of our members in the development of the Clonburris Sustainable Development Zone.

What is a Strategic Development Zone?

A Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) is an area of land that is proposed to contain developments of economic or social importance to the State. Examples of other SDZ developments in Ireland include Adamstown and Grangegorman (DIT). The designation of a site as an SDZ is a decision of the Government.

Clonburris is located north of Bawnogue / Clondalkin and south of Balgaddy / Lucan. Download more information on the link below.
